Summary
Today we consider Hebrews 12, verse 3 which reads:
3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
Today we look to Jesus to add up all the grief and hostility, all the bone-wearying, soul-crushing experiences that Christ endured. We are to keep all this in mind when we facing great opposition and feeling the cost of the struggle and hurting in it. And when as a result, we are tempted to step out of the race that is set before us, we are to remember that Jesus leads us in the race by example. He presses on through contradictions of life set against him, and we are to follow him by doing the same thing.
