An Open Door Pt. 2

Episode Summary

This week on Heritage Bible Radio, we’ll pick up in the middle of chapter 3 of the book of Revelation. So far, in chapters 2 and 3, we have studied one of the seven letters that Jesus addressed to seven specific historical churches that existed in John’s time. So far we’ve read letters to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamos, Thyatira, and Sardis. Now Jesus has issued a severe warning to all but one of these churches so far for failures in areas including doctrine, obedience, morality, being too tolerant, worldliness, etcetera. This week, we come to Philadelphia in verses 7-13, the church of brotherly love. To this church, Jesus only offered commendation and encouragement; no criticism or warning. Why? What is so special about them? What were they doing so right? Because whatever it is, we should seek to emulate it in our churches and individual lives. Pastor Jim Harris will help us draw out some answers today.
